I supposed I shouldn’t be surprised he fell so hard for football.

Before he was born and Elijah was the front-runner name, I saw an Eli Manning commercial. That was it. Eli was his name. And now he’s 7. And his equally football-obsessed brother is 5.

So what kind of birthday party do you have when Super Bowl 50 is being played 10 miles from your house? A Super Bowl kick-off party!

As we count down to Super Bowl 50 this week in the Bay Area, I wonder how their football dreams will change.  They plan to go to the University of Washington together to play football.  They’ve decided that the Seahawks will draft them both – Fin as their lefty quarterback and Eli for defense or special teams. Because although the Manning brothers both play in the NFL, playing together on the same team is most important.

  1. Fun party even though the wind took away our breath and left our fingers numb. Thanks for inviting Mama G to share in the joy of these boys as they grow each year.
